Break in the pouring rain

The weather was not very nice today. It was pouring rain in several waves. But in the afternoon, the clouds sort of broke apart and it was good enough for a bike ride.

Sky-watching.

Some swallows flying overhead.

Overall, not a lot of wildlife was spotted. I guess they were still probably hiding in their shelters.

A pale-looking American Robin.

Four herons were observed on this field.

All resting and not doing much.

Found this handsome heron doing some fishing.

Someone's abandoned owl.
