Hummingbird Observing

Six straight posts; three straight days of nice weathers; excellent!

A bit cloudy today, but overall it was acceptable.

Over at London's Landing, a fellow photographer was taking photos of this male Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) as well. He told me that he is looking for where it flies to (i.e. its nest) somewhere in the shrubs. He also told me of a nest in Richmond Nature Park but it's located in the "jungle". I stayed with him for a while to see if there's indeed a female around and if there is a nest or not (as well as finding out if he's one of those disturbing bird-photographers or not).

Looking at the hummingbird perched on a branch gets boring after a while, so I looked around for other wildlife, such as this Yellowlegs foraging in the mud (it was low-tide in the afternoon).

After thinking that there's no way the male hummingbird will ever reveal the location of its nest, I biked towards Finn Slough. These two sparrows were hanging around the feeders, as well as Chickadees, Juncos, etc.

Next to the railroad tracks, I spotted a honey bee feeding on dandelions.

In the forest trail, I saw this crow on the right feeding the crow on the left. Courtship feeding, perhaps, although they flew away together afterward.

Unknown flowers. On the spot, I thought it was the Indian Plum flowers, but just now I remember what Indian Plum flowers look like, and it is not this.

I like the way the sun shines through the alder leaves - brightens up the leaves in the forest and provides energy to the tree.

On the way home.

According to the weather forecast, there's a chance of shower and flurry tomorrow? What!??
