Releasing the Barbet Trio

The barbet adults still had not returned to their nest at all today, so tomorrow we will take action and try to save the newborn (if it is still alive by then).

On the other nest, we released the three fledglings (that we caught yesterday) today.

Soon afterwards, they poked back out again and flew away. We all let out a sigh of relief when we saw the parents returning back to their nest and calling their youngs.

This is one of the three fledglings with especially bright leg bands.

Not sure if it is because they are young or what, but their look is so stupid (or should I say naive)?
