Presqu'ile Provincial Park - Part 2

Besides searching for the warblers along the trails and in people's backyards, we also hiked along the beach to watch the shorebirds, as well as the gulls and ducks in the distance.

To the other side of the beach

A juvenile Least Sandpiper (Calidris minutilla)

Many Sanderlings (Calidris alba)!

A photographer with big lens photographing the small birds. The birds didn't seem to be bothered by the photographer at all.

Sanderling (Calidria alba)
I had my fair share of opportunities of photographing these birds up-close.

Semipalmated Plover (Charadrius semipalmatus)
But the cutest shorebird would probably be the Semipalmated Plovers (Charadrius semipalmatus), the focus of my supervisor's study for many many years.

Ahh, so cute!

Heading back to the picnic area for lunch...

That's all. I am definitely coming back to this place and explore it more thoroughly in the future. Such a great place to go birding and being outdoors.
