The evening I got back to Peterborough, I went to a free Christmas concert.
The pets I am taking care of - Bronte.
And Kami.
Walked to school on Friday.
I was surprised to see arthropods such as this spider crawling up top of the icy trail! I am still searching online to figure out what species this is. I ended seeing many similar spiders on the trail.
Unfortunately, that same evening had an ice storm and caused spiders to freeze in the following morning.
Another frozen spider.
Bronte sleeping on the chair while I do work.

There is a feeder at the back of the house and it is frequently visited by chickadees and some Blue Jays, which I haven't got a photo yet.
Diving in.
Diving in.
Photos of chickadees waiting for their turn at the feeder.
Pooping chickadee.
Rabbit track.
Someone's fancy winter home.
As most Canadians know by now, Ontario was just hit with a bad ice storm during the weekend and many people are still currently without power. Thankfully, Peterborough was not badly affected, although there was a temporary loss of power last night at where I am staying.
Frozen branches.
Frozen grasses.
Wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season, and I will post some more soon.
