Yesterday's weather was a bit confusing. It looked like it was going to rain with the heavy cloud cover, but it never did. It was the same thing this morning, but by the afternoon it actually turned out quite nice.
With nice clear sky.
Saw a Bald Eagle, but branches were in the way.
The wind was strong in the morning but died down by the afternoon. But this young heron looked as if it was still cold.
Then I continued biking until I got to the Terra Nova Natural Area.
Photographing this flower (
what kind?) against the sunlight. I used flash to bring it out.
Saw many birds at the park, including...
Spotted Towhee.
Black-capped Chickadee. I saw and heard many males singing on tree top calling for a mate.
A couple of Bushtits were found in the branches. Photographing them was challenging, but I think I got some nice shots.
Another Bald Eagle, this time at Terra Nova watching the Fraser River.
Then I biked home.
The first Bald Eagle changed its location and came closer to its nest.
More cherry blossoms on the streets of Richmond.
One last look at the dyke and the sky before I head home for the day.
PS - I just gave in to a DSLR (Olympus E-620) on sale and bought it on-line. So excited...but need to wait at least a week before it arrives!

That's a Salmonberry Flower (Rubis spectabilis).
How exciting, a new camera. So hard to wait isn't it?! It'll be hard to beat the pictures you've been taking!
Thank you, CS.
I guess I set the bar too high with the photos taken from a superzoom camera, didn't I? Haha. Let's hope I can continue to learn, improve and maximize everything from my new camera.
