Here are more photos that I wanted/needed to share:
Mama robin feeding her nestlings. At this moment, the nestlings had already fledged and the nest is now empty.
I think this is one of the fledglings. Who knows, there are many robin nests around our cabin and in the field site.
Imagine a field with all these pretty yellow flowers, and the pink Prairie Smokes, and the white Chickweed flowers...
A lucky moment capturing the bee visiting the ragwort flower.
I was testing the bug jacket at the time, and it seemed like a good one-man blind and this sparrow allowed me to get quite close.
My co-worker and I saw this pair of Common Loons on Canal Lake while driving to Dalrymple.
Kingbird in flight!
Saw these Eastern Kingbirds while working in the field.
I wonder what they were talking about?
These beautiful but speedy Eastern Tiger Swallowtail flew by our cabin everyday. One finally stopped and enjoyed the front yard flowers and so I had the chance to take these photos.
Swallowtail in flight!
Swallowtail in mid-air!
This is a female Blanding's Turtle!
Near one of the cages was one of the many starling's nests.
Gray Catbird - lifer!
Another one of the many cool creatures in our site - Gray Treefrog! Took me a long time to find the first individual. I stumbled across the second individual by accident while searching for the Blanding's Turtle.
Peek-a-boo!
Pretty flowers with a very interesting name.
Inornate? Definitely not inornate.
Least Flycatcher - another lifer!
A very pretty dove.
Another very pretty butterfly.
Pretty Prairie Smokes that are now in full blossom.
Sandhill Cranes flying over me.
A Turkey Vulture perched on the tree where the Starling's nest is and caused a ruckus from nearby smaller birds.
Yellow Warblers!
Flutter.
Taking off!
Sing!
Another day with beautiful sunset.
Now I am up-to-date, in terms of photo-uploading and blog-writing. Now I am off to enjoy the rest of my off-days.
